Pool Policies

Inclement Weather

  • Pool Hours are weather permitting. The pools will close for the following reasons:  lightning/thunder, sustained rainfall, or cold temperatures.

Season Pool Members

  • Must present membership card for admittance. Memberships are for those ages 2+.
  • Lost or damaged season/resident membership card - $3.00 replacement charge.  Any tampering with season/resident membership card will result in forfeiture of all pool privileges.

Personal Conduct

  • LIFEGUARDS are on duty to enforce rules and regulations and to respond to emergencies - PARENTS ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF THEIR CHILDREN.  BATHERS share responsibility for using AQUATIC FACILITIES in a healthy and safe manner to reduce the incidence of injuries.
  • Any behavior that distracts or interferes with our lifeguards while performing their job may result in immediate removal from the facility. Any behavior towards any aquatic center staff that is considered to be disrespectful or inappropriate may result in immediate removal from the facility.

Child Supervision

  • Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older or a family member 15 years or older while at the pool for any activity. Ratio of child 8 years of age and younger to adult may not exceed 4 to 1.

Swim Test

  • The swim test is given daily, staff is on duty at anytime during open hours to test.  Testing is required to use the diving board/drop slide and to enter areas of the pool with depth of 5 feet or more.  Individuals must be able to swim a length of the pool, float on back and tread for a required 30 seconds.   .  Age requirement of 12 years old and younger.

Wristbands

  • Children age 12 and under who pass the deep water skills test will be given a red aquatic center wristband (indicating proficient deep water swimming skills). This allows access to restricted areas such as the , diving board and the green drop slide. Deep-water assessment tests are given by aquatic center lifeguards and supervisors. Visit the managers office to determine if your child should take the deep water swim test. Sharing of wristbands is prohibited and could result in removal from the facility. Kindly remind your children to protect and value their wristband.

Flotation Devices 

  • Anyone using a flotation device must be accompanied at arms - length by a responsible adult in the water. Only properly fitting, US Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed.   No play tubes are allowed in the intermediate pool at Whites Road.  
  • The pools may provide a limited number of tubes. These are shared among all members & guests and must remain within the pool area. They may not be taken to lounge areas or used to reserve seating for the day.

Personal Items & Seating

  • Deck chairs and other furniture are available as first come, first serve, can't be reserved ahead of arrival and are to stay in place on the deck. Patrons are permitted to bring their own seating to be placed in the grass areas ONLY. Seating brought in will NOT be permitted on the concrete deck.
  • Lounge chairs and umbrellas are not to be moved by patrons.  TOWEL must be placed on lounge chair prior to use.

Food & Drink

  • Commercial Food deliveries are not permitted.
  • Small coolers with snacks and beverages are allowed and subject to be searched upon entering facility. All food and drinks should be kept away from all pool areas. 
  • NO glass containers are permitted anywhere on site, per Pennsylvania State regulations. 
  • NO alcohol is permitted: This includes, but is not limited to - wine coolers, hard iced tea, flavored malt beverages and 'spritzers' with alcohol content. *Anyone under the influence of such are not permitted on park property.

Health & Safety

  • Young Lungs at Play! The pool facilities and area around the entrances are Tobacco Free Zones.
  • The PATRON or BATHER shares a responsibility in maintaining a healthy swimming environment by practicing the CDC-recommended healthy swimming behaviors to improve hygiene and reduce the spread of disease.  Do not swim when you have diarrhea; practice good hygiene; take children on bathroom breaks often!  
  • Per Pennsylvania State Health Code, all children in diapers must wear swim diapers or diapers specifically designed for aquatic use. Children in diapers must wear rubber pants under their suit or wear disposable SWIMPANTS designed specifically for pool use.  Changing of children’s diapers is NOT permitted on pool deck.  Changing stations are provided in bathhouse.  Change diapers often! If an ‘accident’ does occur, please report it immediately to a supervisor.
  • As family friendly facilities, we ask patrons to be appropriately covered in their swimsuits. Swimming in street attire, such as cut-offs, is not permitted.
  • Scuba Face Masks are not permitted.
  • No diving from the pool deck.
  • Feet first entry from all slides.
