Downtown Business Wayfinding Sign Program

Program Goals:

  • Provide retail and commercial facilities that do not have building frontage along West Main Street with access to way finding signs along the Main Street corridor
  • Enhance visitor and resident ability to easily navigate downtown and find desired locations 
  • Increase awareness of downtown core, helping to increase commercial activity, general interest in the community and investment within the downtown core

Program Parameters:

  • Business must be of a retail or commercial nature that relies on customers to come to the location as a primary means of doing business
  • Business must be located within 500 feet from West Main Street between North Towamencin Avenue and Broad Street and do not have storefronts facing Main or Broad Streets
  • Sign locations are limited to existing poles and placed in order received
  • Signs shall be limited to one sign per business
  • Signs shall be no more than 8” high and 24” wide with a solid white or Borough Branded Blue color background
  • Signs that are damaged will be removed immediately
  • Not all poles are suitable for additional signage
  • Business logo shall be provided by business to sign fabricator
